sgfleet - Supporting Bush Fire Victims
sgfleet is very pleased to be able to continue providing support to those who have lost so much as a result of the Victoria Bush Fires earlier this year.
In a joint venture with one of our Victorian based clients, City of Boroondara, sgfleet has donated a vehicle for the use of residents of Hamer Court. Hamer Court is in Kew, an eastern Melbourne suburb, and is a residential facility set up by Boroondara Council to house people displaced by the fires in February. Most of the residents staying there have lost their homes and all their possessions. “The vehicle provided by sgfleet will be put to good use,” says Alex Threlfall, Recreation Project Officer, Boroondara Council. “Access to this car means that people are now able to get to work and can begin the task of getting their lives back on track following the fires.”
Along with the $6,622 donation sgfleet made to the Red Cross Bush Fire Appeal (made up of $3,311 in donations from sgfleet staff), we have also worked with one of our Commercial Division clients, K&S Freighters, to assist with the transport of bedding and furniture to the Hamer Court complex.
